Biography
Welcome to John Swithinbank Garden and Horticultural Photography. As well as taking pictures of plants and gardens John Swithinbank has formed a ‘Rapid Response Unit’ with his wife Anne for horticultural photography. This is primarily to provide captioned practical images and step by steps for editors and writers desperate to recover sequences which have either gone wrong or been missed out of their publications. The Swithinbanks, using their own two acre garden in Devon, can quickly set up and photograph all types of practical tasks be it in the ornamental garden, kitchen garden, greenhouse, wildlife areas and houseplants. They can usually photograph and send high quality digital images into an email address on the same day that the request comes in. Larger or long-term projects are also tackled either in or away from their garden.
